First experiences from dog shows

I got interested in dog shows in 1996 - I was 13 years old then. I showed golden retriever Fin T, J, M, Kva Bassin "Basu". Our target was to reach Finnish champion-title and we got it during those years when we showed together.

In Kajaani International show in January 1998 “Basu” was BOB, got CACIB and placed 2nd in the group. All this under judge Anja Puumala from Finland.

I handled also other goldens, this is Kultahännän Amanda after one of her Best of Breed-wins.

Me and Miniature Schnauzer Goldwäscher Idoena “Iida” showed together in JH and also got some nice wins in breed rings too.

Junior Handling

I took part in my first Junior Handling-competition when I was 15 years old. My first official competition was in the Pello speciality show in 1998 with golden retriever Fin T, J, M, Kva Bassin. I remember that it was a very thrilling situation and I was very satisfied when we went to 3rd place.

I competed in Junior handling three years before I unfortunately was too old for those competitions. During those three years I showed many very different breeds and I also got numerous unforgettable moments with dogs.

Standard poodles - action luxury and lots of grooming

In 1999 I interested in standard poodles and I started to show a very happy poodle Int, Fin, Swe, N, Pl, Est, Lv Ch JWW-98 Lapponia´s Njucka "Sampo". At first he really wasn't easy to show, but we practised together a lot and later on we got many great wins in Junior Handler competitions and also in the breed rings which you can see by reading those titles. We travelled a lot and showed kennel Lapponia's breeder-classes too. Kennel Lapponia's was the breeder of the year 2000 in Finland. I want to say special thanks to Virpi Pesonen who has given me a chance to learn much about this gorgeous breed and grooming during these years.

I compeleted in Junior Handling with standard poodles, here I´m with some of them:

BIS-JH in Oulu all breeds show 2000 with standard poodle Int, Fin, Swe, N, Dk Ch EJVW-97, Kobenhagen JW-97, FIN W-97 Lapponia`s Rija Ronnet "Riia" . The judge was Sami Moisanen who won the Junior Handling Finnish  Championship competition in 1996

This picture is taken after unforgettable JH-competition in Mikkeli 22.7.2000. It was raining all the time when we were in the ring but finally we placed to be BIS-2 Jr. Handler with Sampo (Multi Ch Lapponia´s Njucka). The judge was Anna Veteli  from Finland.

My first qualification for the Finnish Championship Final in 2000. I had competed with one of the most memorable standard, Int, Fin, Swe, N, Dk, Lv Ch Baltic Winner –07 Canmoy´s Sevillana “Liana”. The competition was judged by Kirsi Laamanan and my little Sister Laura was placed to be BIS-2 Junior Handler.

This is picture of Fin, Swe Ch Lapponia´s Nieida “Danja”. We showed together in Finland and Sweden and got some nice wins together in both countries. In the summer 2001 in Gällivare we had a great day: Danja was BOB, got Swedish champion title and her first CACIB. Finally we won qualification fot the Swedish Championship Final by winning BIS-JH of the day!

Me and Sampo, Multi Ch Lapponia´s Njucka had such a great day on 3rd of December 2000 in Helsinki Finnish Winner show 2000. We were placed to the 2nd place in Junior Handling Championship Final under the judge Mr Michael Gadsby from England.

Handling some other breeds

Me and Bernese Mountain Dog Fin, Swe Ch Finnish Winner -00-01 Alpenbach Moonlight “Ceri” winning Best Of Breed in Helsinki Finnish Winner 2001 show.

On the summer 1999 I was having such a great time in Sweden by working in Gold'n Copper kennel, which breeds afghan hounds. It was an unique opportunity for me to learn a lot about afghans too.

In Piteå I won qualification for the Swedish Junior Handling Championship Final with Nord Ch Gold´N Copper Power Play “Wincent”.

During the years I have handled some other afghans too. In the picture me and Ch Neliapilan Uutisaihe are runnig straight to win Swedish champion-title in Piteå in the summer 2004.

Red irish setter Chic Choix Kingston "Thomas" winning BIG 1st and BIS2 at Rovaniemi International show 24.-15th of June 2006 under judges Tamas Jakkel, Hungary and Claudio De Giuliani, Italy

Miniature poodle Int, Fin, Est Ch, EstW-03 Soltar's Such A Lying Bitch "Macy" winnig BOB and BIG 2nd at Valmiera International show on 20th of May 2006 under judge Ligita Zake, Latvia

Ch Kuutamoketun Ansa BIG-1 at Valmiera, Latvia under Ewa Nielsen from Norway.

Samoyed Int, Fin, Est, Lv Ch Humoresque What A wonder finished her International Champion title at Latvia Int show on august 2006 under judge Seamus Oates from Ireland. I also handled “Bessi at Tallinn Int show on february 2006 when she did it with style too - BOB, Cacib and Estonian Champion! Thank you Katja Korhonen for trunsting Bessi into my hands!

Victorious english setter Multi Ch Blue Baltic's Ice Crystal winning BOB and BIG3 at Juva Int show on summer 2008. The Jude was Javier Sanchez from Spain.
